Moved again - but this time we bought a house!!

2009 has been a great year for real estate - I know you don't hear that a lot...but it has been sooooo busy this year, not only for folks I get to work with, but also for my family.  My husband and I just closed on a house last Friday and then spent the next week moving - again.  I do not want to move for a long long time.

Through this experience - though I have always worked hard and cared about my clients and wanted the best for them - I now know even more how much I want to make the experience of purchasing a home the best I can and I will do everything in my power to make sure it is an unforgettable, excellent experience for my clients.

Moving is tiring and exciting...but before the actual move there is the process of home buying.  I was in the hotseat this time so it was quite different.  I was nervous...nervous to call insurance companies for quotes, nervous to speak with the title company (who I actually speak to on a regular basis, btw) - answering questions, not knowing what they would ask.  I give contact info to my clients, but then I leave it up to the loan officers, insurance agents and attorneys to speak to my buyer client.  I've never known exactly the kinds of questions they ask.

I was so nervous at the closing...I got to sit next to the attorney, which was a first.  I signed until my hand hurt...it was a surreal experience.  I don't know how each of my clients feel sititing in that seat, but now I can imagine.  What a proud feeling, especially when one has worked so hard to get there.  I will not take it for granted and I am so grateful to be a homeowner.

About Molly Moore

As my family tells me, Real Estate is in my blood. Next to God and my family, being a REALTOR is the next priority and passion in my life. I was an assistant to a top producing real estate agent for 2 years and really enjoyed seeing the process of home buying and selling. In that position, I was responsible for coordinating every aspect of the sale from the time the purchase agreement or listing agreement was turned in, until it closed out. I would always say, the only thing I do not do is meet buyers and sellers and view properties with them - and that's the fun part. I was apprehensive about becoming a realtor for a long time because of fear, however I finally got over myself and went for it in 2005. March of 2006 is when I became a licensed Real Estate Agent in Louisiana. Although I started the process in 2005, I was delayed in completing the goal because of hurricane Katrina. I have been an active, busy Realtor ever since, and I love it!
